
Reducing Anxiety
The dictionary definition of anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness or unease about something with an uncertain outcome and/or a strong desire or concern to do something or for something to happen. In order to reduce anxiety it is important to identify the source of the anxiety.
Sometimes this is easy to do, we are aware of the source and we know what our concerns are regarding said event, other times we recognise the feeling of anxiety but it is much harder to pinpoint the cause of the feeling.
If this situation arises it takes a lot of self awareness and self reflection to try and decipher what the “trigger” is.
This process is something which can be done alone, but the process is far less daunting and usually much faster when done with guidance and support from an external source.
I use NLP to phrase questions in the best way to help you get to the cause of the problem.
Once we have deciphered the “trigger” we can then use techniques to build up other emotions to lessen the power of the anxious emotion therefore allowing you to feel more confident and empowered.
